TERRELL COUNTY, GA (WALB) -

Terrell County Branch of NAACP Annual Emancipation Proclamation is taking place at Beaulahland Baptist Church in Dawson.


It is a celebration of the Emancipation Proclamation signed by Abraham Lincoln 151 years ago.

Several South Georgia Churches and including Dawson Mayor Christopher Wright,  District Attorney Craig Ernest and Kenneth Cutts from Congressman Sanford Bishop's Office were in attendance.
