JASPER CO., SC (WTOC) -

Witnesses say a car slammed into a senior center on Wise Street sometime before 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in Jasper County.

People who were inside when it happened told WTOC that four had to be taken to the hospital. The center's executive director said there were about 20 to 25 people including employees were in the building at the time.

Workers are trying to patch up the big hole left in the side of the building.

The center is closed until Monday, but the administrative offices and Meals on Wheels program will continue Thursday and Friday.
