ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

It's been a wet year in South Georgia, and there's standing water to prove it.

This is the 9th wettest year on record in Albany with more than 64 inches of rain.

While the rain has been good for farmers, too much of anything can become a bad thing. All of south Georgia has experienced a wetter than average year, a big change from the drought seen 2 years ago

"we were all under extreme drought we had watering restrictions and we still have those odd and even times that we can water but we've basically turned the corner on the drought and now we're unusually wet," said meteorologist Chris Zelman

Radium Springs will be closed for a week because of minor flooding.
