ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

It's been a wet year in south Georgia, and areas have the ponding during rainfall to prove it.

It's officially the 9th wettest year ever recorded in Albany and the wettest year since 1998, resulting in more than 64 inches of rain.

While the rain has been a benefit to farmers, too much of anything can cause problems. All of south Georgia has experienced a wetter than average year, a big change from the drought seen 2 years ago.

Radium springs will be closed for a week due to minor flooding. Officials said they will monitor the area and evaluate the situation before reopening.
