ANDERSON, SC (FOX Carolina) -

The Anderson County Sheriff's Office said Tuesday that deputies have identified the man seen in surveillance pictures outside a home that was burglarized in Townville, but that he has not been caught yet.

Lt. Sheila Cole said a home on Dogwood Lane was broken into Dec. 18. Cole said the suspect has been identified as 45-year-old James Eric Powell, of Anderson. She said Powell is charged with third-degree burglary and petit larceny. Cole said Powell is still wanted.

Surveillance video from the home security system captured a man at the house during the commission of the crime, according to Cole. The sheriff's office first released the surveillance photos on Sunday and asked for help identifying the man.

Warrants accuse Powell of stealing $600 worth of equipment, including a weedeater, a ladder, copper, a tent, extension cords and a compressor.

If anyone has information on where Powell is, Cole asked that they call the Anderson County Sheriff's Office at 864-260-4400 or Crime Stoppers at 888-CRIMESC.
