FOUNTAIN INN, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Search crews said a dog helped them locate a horse on Sunday that ran from an equestrian center in Fountain Inn.

Maria Mersman said the horse broke loose from the Fairview Equestrian Center on Reining Way on Saturday.

The community gathered to look for the hose in the rain, but were unable to find her Saturday night.

The foot search that included DNR and the Laurens County Sheriff's Office resumed Sunday, according to organizers.

A dog tracked the horse to a body of water miles from her stable.

The horse was shaken, but healthy, according to her caretaker.

The mare is now being cared for at the equine center.
