Young south Georgia native making a name for herself

ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

A young south Georgia native is making a name for herself in Hollywood.

9 year-old Caitlin Carmichael has been visiting family in Moultrie for the holidays, but she lives in Los Angeles now. She's been featured in dozens of television shows and movies and currently stars in a drama called "Chosen" that's featured on the streaming video site Crackle.

Caitlin says she enjoys coming back to south Georgia, but she loves her life in southern California. "In Hollywood so many cool people are walking down Rodeo Drive. You can go to Chanel. You can go to Big Bear and go snow tubing," Caitlin said.

She's heading back to southern California Friday. She'll be promoting one of her movies during Holiday Bowl festivities in San Diego this weekend.
