LEE COUNTY, GA (WALB) -

A lot of south Georgians went out to eat Wednesday night.

Many restaurants were closed for Christmas and most of the places that were open, were doing brisk business.

One Lee County couple who chose to spend their Christmas night together at waffle house said they were just in the mood for breakfast for dinner.

We've been having ham and turkey and all the fixings, waffles just sounded good, it's a cold day outside, and I enjoy eating waffles when it's cold," said Kelli Powell

Waffle House wasn't alone, other restaurants that served customers on Christmas Day included IHOP,Steak and Shake, Ryan's, And several Chinese restaurants.
