FITZGERALD, GA (WALB) -

A Fitzgerald restaurant fed hundreds of people in need this Christmas Day.

Fat Daddy's in downtown Fitzgerald held its annual "Friends Feeding Friends" Christmas dinner.    50 volunteers from the community donated supplies, served food, and delivered gifts to those less fortunate.  They fed more than 700 people. The owner says he sponsors the dinner to teach his children the importance of giving back to the community.

"They all have good Christmas's and we just want to make sure that everybody does. You can look at me and tell that I don't go without a meal and I'm not gone let anybody go without a meal on Christmas Day," said Johnny Mobley.

Children also passed out candy canes in front of the restaurant to those who stopped by. This is Fat Daddy's 4th "Friends Feeding Friends" Christmas dinner. The restaurant has been open for 5 years.
