ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

Some of the most popular gifts this year included handbags.

Officials with Dillards say Michael Kors handbags and watches were some of the most popular buys.

Other items included shoes and jewelry for the ladies, and in the men's department, games like scrabble were a popular buy, also slippers.

"I think we are going to have a good year, yesterday we had an amazing day like I said, and its been pretty good," says Kevin Raible, Dillards Store Manager.

Dillards and the rest of the mall will be closed on Christmas day, but reopen on Thursday.

They say the day after Christmas is one of their biggest days for sales.
