Spurlock was shot along a stretch of Mobile Road Spurlock was shot along a stretch of Mobile Road
ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

Albany Police spent Sunday night on the scene of a deadly shooting on Mobile Road, near the 800 block of Frotscher Street.

Authorities say the victim is 35-year-old Jamey Spurlock.

Tara Herrschaft is speaking with Spurlock's fiance, Carrie Kimbrell. Her son was with the victim when he was shot.

Carrie Kimbrell says her fiance, Jamey Spurlock and her 21-year-old son were driving to the store Sunday night around 8pm when they got a flat tire on a dirt road off Mobile Road.

They called Kimbrell to help. She says when she got there,  she realized she forgot her jack.  Kimbrell says as she was leaving, she noticed four men walking along the dirt road and got suspicious. That's when she turned back around to go back towards her fiance and son.

Kimbrell says she heard a gunshot, and as she turned the corner, one of the men had a gun pointed at her son's head, but she believes her headlights scared them off.

Kimbrell says Spurlock had been shot once. She called 911, put him in the her truck  and drove back to her house on Frotscher Street.

The men ran off with her son's cell phone and his wallet, which was empty.

Police say they're looking for four people in connection with the shooting.
