Lite 98's Bill Bevins and Shelly Perkins say goodbye one last time

Richmond Times Dispatch Richmond Times Dispatch
RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) -

Richmond radio pioneers Bill Bevins and Shelly Perkins broadcast their popular morning show on Lite 98 one final time Friday morning.

After 13 years on the air together, the dynamic duo decided not to renew their contracts with Clear Channel Media & Entertainment once they expired. Both have said they have jobs lined up outside of radio.

Bevins and Perkins have a large fan base across the Metro-Richmond area, broadcasting Monday through Friday from 5-10 a.m. and on Saturdays 6-10 a.m. Other local programming on the station includes Kat's Cafe with Kat Simons.

There has been no word so far on what radio show or hosts Lite 98 will put in their time slot.
