DINWIDDIE, VA (WWBT) -

The Dinwiddie Police force will have a chance to say goodbye to a K-9 officer killed in the line of duty.

The county Sheriff's Office will unveil a portrait at a public memorial to honor "Maco."

The German Shepherd died during a training accident last month. Deputies say he helped them make 50 drugs arrests since March.

The memorial service will be held at the Dinwiddie County Courthouse at 11 a.m.
