BLAKELY, GA (WALB) -

New Early County Superintendent Bronwin Regain Martin is considering a major shift for area schools.

Martin spoke with WALB on Thursday and says the Board of Education is considering shifting Early County Schools to the charter school system.

"I think right now with Georgia moving in the direction of college and career ready," Martin said. "We just have to look at what our kids need to prepare them for a life after high school."

If moved to a charter system it will be implemented in 2015.
