OWENSBORO, KY (WFIE) -

Children everywhere are eagerly waiting to wake up Christmas morning to find presents under the tree.

Unfortunately, some children won't receive any gifts.

That's where the man many people call Kentucky's Santa Claus comes in.

Clyde Fogle has been building wooden toys in his workshop in Owensboro since 2000.

Fogle says he mostly builds toys with wheels and averages between ten and 14,000 toys a yaer.

A majority of his toys are sent to children in Africa and South America through  Samaritan Purse's 'Operation Christmas Child'.

Fogle says it is a very rewarding experience, "We have a picture that was sent to us of a little boy in Peru, who was holding one of the cars that I've made.  And just seeing the joy and brightness in his eyes, that's what keeps me going."
