GLEN ALLEN, VA (WWBT) -

A Beaverdam man faces charges in connection with a crash involving a Henrico County Public School Friday morning in Glen Allen.

The 61-year-old has been charged with failing to obey a traffic signal.  He was released on a summons. 

Police say he was headed east on Staples Mill Road when his truck struck the school bus headed south on Mountain Road. The driver of the bus was taken to a hospital with minor injuries. No students were on board the bus at the time of the crash.

The driver of the pickup truck was taken to VCU Medical Center with serious injuries.
