SYLVESTER, GA (WALB) -

Family members of the Worth County boy who shot himself will be holding a candle light vigil tonight to honor his memory.

Monday afternoon, Dustin Hammonds was taken off life support in an Atlanta Hospital and pronounced dead. Now, Hammond's family and much of the community are searching for what pushed the 13-year-old to suicide.

Worth county police officers are investigating a possible link to bullying, but school administrators and investigators aren't saying much.

Family members say Hammond didn't display any unusual behavior before shooting himself in the head in his Doles home last Tuesday.

But the mother of one of Hammond's friend heard from a child the boy may have been picked on by an older student.

The vigil is set for Jeffords Park in Sylvester tonight at 6:30.

We'll bring you more tonight on WALB.
