Darton professor wins national award

ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

Dr. Sarah Kuck, assistant professor of Political Science at Darton State College, has been recognized for her teaching excellence by the Georgia Political Science Association (GPSA).

Dr. Kuck was recently announced as a recipient of the GPSA Emerging Leader in Teaching Award. The award recognizes new members of the association who choose to enhance their skills in teaching as part of their faculty development plan.

Award winners are chosen by a committee, which includes the GPSA Teaching and Learning Coordinator and winners from the previous year.

Dr. Kuck began teaching at Darton in 2008 as an instructor and was promoted to assistant professor in 2011. She is an innovative teacher, who continuously strives to improve her teaching skills.

Dr. Kuck received her bachelor's degree from Georgia State University and her master's from Troy State University. In 2012, she received her doctorate from Valdosta State University.

The GPSA is the professional association for political science practitioners and educators in Georgia.
