SYLVESTER, GA (WALB) -

Students at Worth County Elementary School got a chance to see the Atlanta Falcons play as part of their reward for combating hunger.

Worth County Elementary School won the 2013 FALCAN Food Drive. 60 students were in Atlanta earlier Sunday watching the Falcons play against the Washington Redskins. Students and the public were invited to the school for a Falcons viewing party. Faculty and students beat out more than 90 other schools participating in the drive. They collected more than 16,000 lbs of canned goods to help local food banks.

"Our community always comes together and is supportive when something like this happens. So, actually I wasn't shocked but we are extremely "Ram" proud of our young kids here at Worth County Elementary," said Karen Rackley.

The 2013 FALCAN Food Drive collected more than 125,000 lbs of canned goods.
