WESTOVER 54, MONROE 48 (boys)

In a game where most eyes were on former Tornado-turned-Patriot Timothy White, it was Dunavon Robinson and sophomore Alec Williams who led the way.

Robinson scored a game-high 21 points, while Williams scored seven points in the second quarter to give the Patriots the lead.

White, the Patriots' senior center, played his first three years at Monroe before transferring to Westover this offseason.

Monroe fans booed the former Tornado when he was introduced during starting lineups and when he shot free throws.

Westover moves to 6-2 with the win.

MONROE 55, WESTOVER 31 (girls)

Keshundra Price was unstoppable for Monroe, leading the Lady Tornadoes to a blowout win over rival Westover.

The junior guard scored 24 points in Monroe's 55-31 road win Friday night.

The Lady Tornadoes are now 7-0 after the win.

The game was chippy throughout, but intensified as Monroe built their lead.

Westover head coach Lewis Smith was ejected in the fourth quarter after receiving two technicals for arguing with officials.

Smith will miss the Lady Patriots' game at Lee County Saturday.
