ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

A fraternity in Albany teamed up with JCPenney to donate coats for kids to the Salvation Army Friday.

Sigma Pi Phi's Delta Delta Bule chapter joined with JCPenney store manager Joe Iles to make the donation to Major Kelly English with the Salvation Army at the Albany Mall. The 22 members of the fraternity raised the money to purchase the coats.

Friday's donation brings an additional 40 coats to the non-profit. The fraternity has now donated 500 coats in all to the Salvation Army.

The Salvation Army says they could use more coats for people in need now that the weather has turned cold.  You can call the Salvation Army at 435-1428 to donate.
