Westover High football donates to help medical expenses

ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

The Westover High School Football team and booster club presented donations to two members of their athletic family to help with their medical expenses.

Coach Octavia Jones and team captains presented $250 checks to Charlette Reddix and to Kelleigh Collins. Reddix is the mother of former Patriot's track star Craig Reddix, who has been hospitalized in Birmingham Alabama since November after a serious car crash.

Collins' daughter, 10 year old Hannah Cate, is receiving treatment for leukemia. Kelleigh Collins said "We have 3 boys here in athletics. And if it weren't for this team and just this family of athletics here it would be very hard to do what we're doing."

Charlette Reddix said "Everybody has pulled together and are very supportive. And praying also for him and my family."

The Westover High Booster club raised the money through a drive for your school program, and wanted to use some of the money to help with the travel expenses for the families.
