MOULTRIE, GA (WALB) -

Moultrie Police are investigating gunfire at the same apartment complex where a man was shot and killed this week. Residents at Paradise apartments say violence has never been a problem at their complex before this week, and want it to stop.

Moultrie police received calls reporting at least 15 gunshots fired around 3 a.m. and again at 4 a.m. in the back of the Paradise apartments in the 500 block of 27th St SE. Dustin Bush says his mother woke him up to tell him what was going on.

"Mom just came in there and told me you know they were shooting and cops come out there and when they left it happened again," said Dustin Bush.

Bush has lived in the complex for eight years and says nothing like this has ever happened before.

"This is the first time I've ever seen it like this out here, it's just gotten crazy ever since Monday," said Bush.

Monday morning, 28-year-old Racieh Robinson was gunned down in the parking lot.  Moultrie police say he and 23-year-old Lenorris Jordan were arguing when Jordan shot Robinson in the face. Cheryl Jones says she's known the Robinson family for years and the recent shootings have her afraid.

"It kind of make me feel afraid and it sound dangerous," said Cheryl Jones.

Jones has lived in the Paradise complex for nine years and says it has always lived up to its name, but now she wants residents to make better decisions.

"All of us need to go to God and get down on our knees and pray and talk to God, that will solve a lot of our problems," said Jones.

"People need to realize it ain't worth it, you already have one family going through a loss and then the shooter's family going through a loss losing one of their own to a possible jail sentence. People just need to realize it ain't worth it," said Bush.

The early morning shooting remains under investigation, luckily no one was hurt.  Moultrie police have not said if they think Thursday's gunfire is connected to Monday's murder.      23-year-old Lenorris Jordan is charged with murder and several other charges. Detectives also charged Floyd Collins for giving false statements in the shooting death.
