ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

An Albany security business is helping keep families in need stay warm this winter.

Central Monitoring is sponsoring the eighth annual One Warm Coat Drive. They're asking the public to donate coats of all sizes which will be distributed by Second Harvest Food Bank.      Collection boxes are at all fire stations in Albany and several businesses and churches.      Organizers say collections are down this year because of the warm weather.

"We especially need children's coats because children are out growing their coats every year. If you have sweaters, hats and gloves and you want to send those as well we will get those to the right people also," said Randle.

They've collected 275 coats so far. They've given away more than 11,000 coats over the years.      The drive ends January 15th. To find out a list of places collecting coats for Central Monitoring give them a call at 434-1176.
