Habitat needs volunteers!

ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

The Flint River Habitat for Humanity builders are urgently asking for volunteer help. They are trying to finish two Habitat homes before Christmas, so the families can spend the holiday in their new homes.

But they need volunteers to finish the construction on the two homes.  One at 907 Willow Oak is for Laura Alexander and her children. 902 is for disabled veteran James Hubbard.

But Habitat for Humanity officials say they need help from volunteers if they are going to make their Christmas deadline.

"Yes, sir.  I need volunteers.  If you have ever volunteered for Habitat, come back again.  If you ain't, you new, come on back.  We could use about 20 a day," said Construction Mgr. Jimmy Cross.

If you would like to help make this a very Merry Christmas for a couple of families in their own homes, just come to 907 Willow Oak,  in South Albany near the airport.
