Two arrested in series of Cordele armed robberies

CORDELE, GA (WALB) -

The remaining suspects in two armed robberies in Cordele are in jail Wednesday night.  20 year-old Demetrius Ford and 18 year-old Gregory Ross are charged with robbing Your Supermarket and Ken's Pecans last week.

Investigators found Ross Friday, and Ford turned himself in Sunday.  Five other suspects were already in jail.  Police say some of the seven suspects may still be free without the public's help.

"We always welcome the community's help.  They solve most of the stuff for us, you know.  We take what they give us and we move on it, and that's what happened in this case, is a lot of community talk," said Sgt. Jeremy Taylor, Cordele Police Department.

Investigators are working to determine if these suspects are responsible for two other robberies happened last week.

They're being held in the Crisp County Law Enforcement Center, and could face more charges as the investigation continues.
