LIVINGSTON PARISH, LA (WAFB) -

The SPCA of Livingston is a non-profit organization that rescues pets from local shelters and places them with foster families until the pets can find their forever homes.

The organization has been inundated with rescues and many of the animals that are rescued are in need of medical treatment.

Several litters of puppies, as well as senior dogs, are in need of medical treatment now. The treatments range from ringworm, kennel cough and demodex, as well as other treatable illnesses. The SPCA is responsible for the costs accrued for the medical treatment.

Also, every pet that is adopted through the SPCA of Livingston is spayed and neutered.

With the vet bills mounting, the organization needs your help. The SPCA of Livingston is hoping to reach their goal of raising $1,000.

A donation account has been set up through YouCaring.com. Click this link to donate online: http://www.youcaring.com/medical-fundraiser/help-us-help-them/114668.
