Motorcycle run benefits Salvation Army

Posted: Updated:

Several hundred motorcycle riders gathered to deliver toys for the Salvation Army.

The motorcycle run is tradition in Albany.Today's group filled the Salvation Army's truck with toys that riders have been collecting for the past few weeks.

Police escorted the nearly 400 riders to K-mart where they dropped off the toys.

"All these toys that are collected here stay in southwest Georgia and the county south of Albany and parents go in there and sign the papers and all that and kids get to get their own toys," says organizer Richie Brown.

This is the 30th year for the ride.
