An update on holiday shopping as retailers assess the first week of the season. The National Retail Federation says nationwide spending was down slightly over black Friday weekend, but the NRF still expects an overall increase in holiday spending this year.
Workers at Eses Shoes in the Albany Mall say they've done well so far, and they hope business stays strong.
"Well it's kind of slowed down from Black Friday, from Friday-Sunday we had a pretty good rush, but we may continue to sell a little but I'm not sure," said Shekiria Price, store employee.
The NRF is still predicting a 3.9% increase in holiday spending over last year.
