ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

U.S. Senate candidate Michelle Nunn stopped in Albany today on her Georgia entrepreneurship tour.

She's dedicating the week to talking with entrepreneurs and business owners. Wednesday she toured Albany Technical College and spoke to students and staff about economic development.      Nunn say's despite Washington's dysfunction, she believes programs such as those offered at Albany Tech can revitalize the economy.

"77% of the students are the first in their family to go to college. Imagine what that means for their family for their capacity to be earners for the future and contributors and imagine what that means for this community, said Nunn."

Nunn says she'll work to generate more lasting, good paying jobs in the state. Albany Tech was the third stop on her tour.
