CHULA, GA (WALB) -

Tree officials at a Chula Christmas Tree farm are encouraging the public to support our troops this holiday season by sending them a tree.

"Trees for Troop" is at the Brumby and White Christmas Tree Farm in Chula. You can sponsor a $45 tree with a $25 donation to insert one of these cards with a message supporting our troops inside a Christmas tree. The trees are sent to active duty members in the National Guard in Tifton, Bainbridge, Cordele and Moultrie.

"It's something that everybody can relate too. Troops need help, they need all the help they can get and we're glad to participate in the program," said J.H. White.

Their goal is to provide 150 trees to troops. 100 people have made donations so far. The trees will be delivered to the troops on Thursday. You can make donations by visiting the Brumby and White Christmas Tree Farm at 808 Chula-Brookfield Road in Chula, GA.
