ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

A non-profit organization got a helping hand from some motorcycle riders Sunday.

Some area motorcycle clubs and their families delivered food to the Albany Rescue Mission. More than a dozen turkeys and other traditional Thanksgiving sides were delivered. They met in the parking lot of Harvey's Supermarket on Sylvester Road.

"We want to try to help bring awareness to just how many homeless people there are in our area. A lot of people think out of sight, out of mind, but there's a lot of homeless people, families and we just want to try to do everything we can to help, maybe just a little bit," said Robert Guinn.

Law enforcement escorted the motorcycle riders to the Albany Rescue Mission.
