ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

The animals at Chehaw Park were treated to some special Thanksgiving treats Saturday.

Its all part of their Thanksgiving for animals event. Families got to visit with all the different animals including their llamas, donkeys and pigs.

There was also arts and crafts activities for the kids.

Organizers say this is their favorite time of year and the kids always have a blast.

"I get to make special stuff for the animals and arts and crafts and stuff, like the head bands. I made one for me and one just for my Daddy," says Dana Gilbert, who is five years old.

The next big event at Chehaw Park will be there Festival of Lights starting December the 6th.
