ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

Darton College faculty and staff and community leaders gathered Thursday night to welcome the college's interim president.

The Chamber of Commerce hosted Thursday night's reception for Dr. Paul Jones who replaced Dr. Peter Sireno who was forced to resign last month.

"It feels good, it's opening up Albany's doors to him and his wife, making him feel welcome and he's been to a couple events, and this is expanding his horizon and getting into the community," said Toni Smith, Institutional Advancement.

Dr. Paul Jones previously served as a vice president at Georgia College.
