Wiregrass Georgia Tech is growing.

Today, Leaders from the college and Cook County gathered at the Wiregrass Georgia Tech Workforce Development Center in Cook County to break ground on a new 8,000 square foot addition.

The Workforce Development Center already covers 14,000 square feet, but the college's president said that isn't enough to allow the college to serve the community.

"You can't do everything you need to," said Tina Anderson, President of Wiregrass Georgia Tech. "You can't have the labs, we can't serve the businesses with the labs we have here. We needed this to do what we wanted to do for Cook County," Anderson continued.

The is expected to be completed sometime next year.
