SYLVESTER, GA (WALB) -

A seven-week old baby died Wednesday morning in Sylvester. Police and EMT's tried to revive the child, but they couldn't.

The child's body was taken to Macon for an autopsy, and there were no signs of foul play.

 

The Sylvester Police Department provided this news release-

On November 20, 2013 at 6:25 a.m., Sylvester Police Officers were dispatched to 116 Hamilton Circle in reference to an un-responsive child. 

Upon arrival, Officers found a 7 week old child un-responsive with active CPR in progress.  Officers assisted with CPR until Worth County EMS arrived.  The child was unable to be revived. 

An investigation does not reveal any signs of foul play. 

The child was transported to Macon where an autopsy was performed this morning to determine the cause of death.
