Lights! Lights! Thanksgiving night in Moultrie

MOULTRIE, GA (WALB) -

Downtown Moultrie is ready to light up the courthouse square in its unique way for the holidays.

The canopy of lights will be turned on Thanksgiving night.

The event will include Reindeer, Pony rides and pictures with Santa.

Downtown businesses will be open late.

The lights are up and the giant Christmas tree is standing next to the courthouse.

Organizers say the lighting is a perfect way to get you in the holiday spirit.

"If you have never seen the canopy of lights turned on. It is an unbelievable magical experience. Santa will be there with his Reindeer, there's activities for the kids, the stores will be open, It is a great opportunity to come and visit Moultrie and see what we have to offer," said Terry Shuler Vice President of Marketing at Moultrie-Colquitt Chamber of Commerce.

Activities will begin at 5 and go through 8 Thanksgiving night.

Santa will make his way to the stage at 6 for the lightning ceremony.
