Moultrie wants to 'Live Life Local' during the holidays

MOULTRIE, GA (WALB) -

Moultrie is kicking off their "Live Life Local" campaign just in time for the holidays.

This campaign is being used to encourage people to shop at local stores. They put billboards up on Highway 133 and Interstate-75.

But they want to make sure everyone is aware that this time of year is essential for the success of local stores.

"It's a way to help support our local businesses, to promote awareness for shopping local, the importance of it and how it impacts our economy," said Vice President of Marketing at Moultrie-Colquitt Chamber of Commerce Terry Shuler
.
"We're excited about everyone livin' Life Local, and thinking Moultrie First," said Co-owner of Coco's Boutique Jenna Alderman.

Organizers say without thriving local businesses small town economies struggle. This is not just a holiday campaign but a year long promotion.
