ABAC highlights forestry and wildlife jobs

TIFTON, GA (WALB) -

The hallway of the Yow Forestry and Wildlife building was packed with students and employers for the fifth annual career connections event.

Major companies, universities, and government agencies were there to talk to students about education, internship, and jobs.

Faculty members encouraged students to reach for the sky.  "I had one student who came into class just bubbling with excitement because she had just talked with a Peace Corps recruiter and realized that's something she could do. Go anywhere in the world with the Peace Corps and spend two years with them and she could just expand. That's what gets me up in the morning, I get so excited seeing that," said Jason Scott, Asst. Professor at ABAC.

Each year more folks get involved with the event as ABAC continues to try to raise the bar of education for their students.
