Hyatt builds annual gingerbread house

SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) -

The Hyatt Regency in Savannah has started building its annual gingerbread house.

The hotel's engineering department, Chef David Gordon and kitchen staff will use 80 man hours and 300 pounds of Gingerbread, 500 pounds of powdered sugar, 3,000 egg whites, 200 pounds of candy, according to the hotel.

The gingerbread house is open to the public. Visitors are encouraged to bring canned goods for the Hyatt's Second Harvest of Coastal Georgia canned food drive.
