OCILLA, GA (WALB) -

Irwin County investigators hope a stolen car they recovered Monday afternoon will help them solve a home invasion. Two men impersonating FBI agents broke into a home at 115 Parakeet Lane last night.

They tied up two people, covered their eyes with duct tape, hit one with a shotgun and cut the other.

They took $1,700 and a 2012 Dodge challenger. It was recovered in a corn field on bluebird road.

One homeowner who didn't want to show his face on camera says he is shocked this could happen in his neighborhood.

"Yes I'm going to be more alert and watch my surrounding and just going to have to be careful now, it's sad man, just have to be careful."

If you have any information that can help law enforcement call the Irwin County Sheriff's office at 468-7459.
