Ga. 204 back open, barricaded woman taken to hospital

BLOOMINGDALE, GA (WTOC) -

Savannah Chatham-Metropolitan Police responded to a call around 1 p.m. on Saturday near Hwy 204 and Old River Road. 

Police tell WTOC that a lady started threatening herself and family members inside of a house. The family was able to get outside.

The lady then baracadded herself in the house.

Police were able to get the woman out of the house and she is being transported to a hospital.

Ga. Hwy 204 road was closed for around 30 minutes Saturday afternoon from Old River road to a mile north on Ga. Hwy 204.

There were no injuries reported.

Savannah Chatham-Metropolitan Police are still investigating.
