VALDOSTA, GA (WALB) -

Three absconded sex offenders from Lowndes County are behind bars tonight, while two more remain on the run.

The three sex offenders that were arrested, Nelson Harrison, Michael Hendley and Raishawn Siplen, are in the Lowndes County jail.

Lt. Stryde Jones with the Lowndes County Sheriff's Department said the men were arrested based on tips the sheriff's department received from citizens.

"All three of those arrests were based off citizen tips that we received in direct response to the media information that was put out."

Jones said one of the men was arrested at the Delmar Motel in Valdosta, another was arrested at a residence in Thomasville and the third offender was arrested at a residence in Valdosta.

"They were all cooperative," Jones said. "They anticipated this would come at some point."

The Sheriff's department continues to ask for the public's assistance in finding the two remaining offenders, Kevin Kelley and Larry Billoups.

If you see any of Kevin Kelley or Larry Billoups, or know where they may be, call the  Lowndes County Sheriff's Office  at   229-671-2958 or 229-740-1067.
