TIFT CO., GA (WALB) -

Some people in Tift County are doing what they can to keep their community clean.

Workers at Brownlee-Bozeman Insurance Agency in Tifton spent their lunch hour picking up trash along Carpenter Road.

Dara Sutton says she wants to inspire others to pick up trash if they see it.

"We walked from about a fourth of a mile today and we've each picked up three bags of trash just on one side," said volunteer Dara Sutton. "It's really getting out of hand. We just wanted to do something good and be a part of the solution instead of the problem in this world."

The group plans to continue picking up trash on lunch breaks at least once a week.
