Hornets, Bulldogs team up to help bone marrow cause

PELHAM, GA (WALB) -

Students at two South Georgia high schools teamed up to save lives.

Pelham and Thomasville High school students presented a check to the "Be the Match" foundation during halftime at their game Friday night.

Each school raised one thousand dollars. Both held their first marrow drives last week.

Organizers say they were inspired by Florida State football coach Jimbo Fisher's 6-year-old son, who suffers from a rare genetic disorder that causes bone marrow failure.
