Coroner identifies man who died after single-vehicle crash

Authorities have released the identity of a man who died in a single-vehicle crash late Sunday night near Pelion.

The Lexington County Coroner's Office has identified the victim as 42-year-old Harry M. Parker, III of Lexington.

According to the South Carolina Highway Patrol, the accident happened on South Carolina 302 around 11:24 p.m.

Troopers say a 2006 Nissan pickup truck left the roadway, struck a fence and overturned. Parker, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was ejected from the vehicle, authorities said.

Parker was taken to Palmetto Health Richland where he later died, the coroner's office said.

The collision is under investigation.
