An retired ASU theatre professor has written a play commemorating his family military service of more than a century.
Sunday actors were busy rehearing and gearing up for the play which makes its debut this week on the 13th. Wednesday's opening night will be a free performance, only for active duty military, veterans, and their families.
"Well to see that vets are more than people who have just served in the war. That they have full lives and had an impact on those around th," says author Curtis Williams.
The play will open to the general public on the 15th and 16th. Its also a fundraiser for for Albany Civil Rights Institute and ASU's veterans outreach program .
The performances will be held on ASU's campus starting at 8 p.m.
