STATESBORO, GA (WTOC) -

Homicide in Statesboro early Sunday morning at a nightclub.

The Statesboro Police Department is investigating a homicide and aggravated assault that occurred around 2:30 a.m. on Sunday at Primetime Lounge located on Northside Drive West.

According to police both victims suffered from apparent gunshot wounds. One victim, Johnnie L. Benton, 25, of Rincon, Ga., is deceased. The second victim, Jamal Heard, 21, of Rincon, Ga. is in stable condition after being transported to Savannah. The families of both have been notified.
