ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

Monday morning, Georgia & Florida Railroad began repairs and improvements to their crossing on Honeysuckle Drive at Thompson Drive.

Honeysuckle Drive will be completely blocked at the railroad crossing until 5:00 P.M. on November 14, weather permitting.

Power Secure also began replacing transmission power poles for MEAG Power on E. Broad Avenue Monday.

For safety, E. Broad Avenue will be closed between Cason Street and Thornton Drive from 9:00 A.M. until 4:00 P.M. from November 11 until November 14 and again from November 18 until November 21.

Power Secure has submitted a traffic control plan with the detour route using the following city streets: Thornton Drive, E. Oglethorpe Boulevard and Cason Street. Detour signage is in place.

Motorists are advised to use caution, reduce speed and be alert of changing traffic conditions in these areas.
