BERLIN, GA (WALB) -

Police in the small town of Berlin arrest nearly two dozen men in a prostitution sting after complaints that people were providing sexual favors out of their homes in exchange for prescription pills.

Investigators used a vacant house and put up fake profiles on web sites such as craigslist to lure men. Twenty-two men were arrested and charged with pandering and trespassing. Eight of them were booked in the Colquitt County jail on additional charges including marijuana possession and driving with a suspended license. All have been released on bond. Police say it's important to combat prostitution because it's often linked to other crimes.

"Some of the crimes that are usually involved with prostitution is obviously drugs, rape, robberies, multiple different other criminal acts," said Officer Raymond Bedal with the Berlin Police Department.

All 22 "Johns" have a court date set for November 18th.
